摘要: The results of studies on the relation between freeze-up, break-up and weather conditions for a small fresh-water lake in Ottawa area are reported. Techniques using air temperature records estimating when solid ice-cover will form investigated. .A formula is also developed time taken ice to melt from lake. usefulness these relationships “freeze-up” “break-up” dates rivers lakes discussed.
