摘要: The effect of changes in dissolved inorganic nitrogen (N) deposition on ecosystem functioning was investigated the NITREX (NITRogen saturation EXperiments) project. Field-scale manipulation experiments were carried out over four to six years seven coniferous forest ecosystems northwestern Europe. At sites with low or moderate ambient N deposition, experimentally added throughfall. high removed from We found that capacity retain correlated its internal status. Some components this status like concentrations foliage and floor are relatively easy measure. C/N ratio is especially closely related onset nitrate leaching. Changes input may, long run, change an due for instance a decrease floor. Decreased resulted rapid large reduction concentration drainage water. Significant improvement tree nutritional status, growth, fine root biomass diversity ground vegetation mycorrhizal fungi population observed one site only. time period manipulated may have been too short be manifested other sites.
