摘要: Abstract The damaging effect of sympathetic catecholamines on the cardiovascular system is reviewed. in high dose cause diffuse necrotic lesions myocardium with accompanying inflammation and subsequent fibrous scarring. This can be readily demonstrated experimental animal. clinical counterpart seen patients dying after prolonged treatment norepinephrine among pheochromocytoma. various theories suggested to explain this phenomenon are presented, recent data that suggests intravascular platelet aggregation etiologic importance possible relation these effects myocardial infarction occurs during stress discussed. High doses medial necrosis, destruction elastic lamellae, atrophic scarring walls large vessels. relationship lesion other atherosclerosis
