摘要: Development, reproduction, and life table parameters of the phytoseiid mite Neoseiulus idaeus Denmark & Muma preying on various stages Tetranychus urticae Koch fed papaya or snap bean plant were studied at 25 ± 2°C, 77 2% RH 12L:12D photoperiod. Most characteristics predator, including duration immature stages, preoviposition oviposition periods, female longevity did not differ significantly among different food combinations. During adult stage, N. females survived up to 14 days. The net reproductive rate, mean generation time, intrinsic rate natural increase very similar all T. stage – host combinations, ranging from 5.15 6.61 females, 10.15 12.62 days, 0.150 0.168, respectively. These results indicate that reared either is an adequate prey for development reproduction idaeus. Moreover, current findings demonstrate affect predator. implications these success as a biological control agent in orchards are discussed.
