摘要: The eyes of 15 species birds from 10 families have some cones maximally sensitive at 370 nanometers in the near-ultraviolet. Spectral sensitivity was measured by recording extracellularly opened eyecups , and a maximum ultraviolet revealed selectively adapting retina with yellow background lights. 370-nanometer spectral function is attributed to receptors because its position does not vary strength adaptation it present when receptor potentials are isolated contributions higher order retinal neurons exposing sodium aspartate. These measurements demonstrate basis for that has been seen behavioral experiments, they provide further evidence many vertebrates share insects vision
