Numerical analysis of discontinuities in a rectangular waveguide loaded with isotropic or anisotropic obstacles by means of the coupled‐mode method and the mode‐matching method

摘要: A hybrid method obtained as a combination of the coupled-mode (CMM) and mode-matching (MMM) is developed applied in analysis multiple dielectric magnetic discontinuities rectangular waveguides. As both are moment methods, some kind truncation has to be carried out computer implementation. It shown that selection different number modes two methods not necessary, unless low-permittivity meida inside waveguide considered. consequence, procedure for slecting basis functions only done one methods. Numerical examples presented showing behaviour proofs convergence. Examples included illustrating power this technique, especially relation non-reciprocal structures containing magnetized ferrites.
