摘要: Fe K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy (XANES) and extended fine structure (EXAFS) have been performed on LiFePO4, electrodes containing this material to determine the local atomic electronic their stability with electrochemical cycling (repeated charging discharging). Comparison of XANES data for powder sample, uncycled electrode, cycled 7SG 9SG reveals that ions are octahedrally coordinated in Fe2+ state. Even after repeated discharging, LiFePO4 (7SG, 64 times, 9SG, 21 times) did not change hence possesses very desirable characteristics an electrode. This makes it excellent choice long cycle life Li-ion battery applications.
