摘要: Abstract The paper presents a model of the evolution social norms. When norm is costly to follow and people do not derive benefits from following it other than avoiding disapproval, erodes over time. Tip percentages, however, increased years, suggesting that tipping including impressing others improving their self-image as being generous kind. implications cooperating with new workers who accept lower wages are discussed; suggests incumbent have reasons this in addition disapproval.
