摘要: Because coping with uncertainty is an important aspect of close relationships and critical to issues trust, the authors expected individual differences in orientation play a central role shaping people's representations their relationships. For 3-week period, 77 couples completed series or questionnaires kept diaries on interactions. As expected, certainty-oriented persons'need for cognitive closure resulted either high low trust partners, whereas uncertainty-oriented persons typically attained only moderate level trust.
