A review of fluoride dentifrice related to dental fluorosis.

摘要: Introduced to the commercial market 40 years ago, fluoride dentifrice now accounts for nearly all purchased in United States. During this same time, prevalence and severity of dental caries has declined while fluorosis increased. While decline can be largely attributed widespread use, as well many other sources fluoride, several recent studies have much increase early use dentifrice. This paper reviews these studies, efficacy dentifrices with lower concentrations. Finally, recommendations regarding maintain prevention reduce risk are presented.(Pediatr Dent 21:266-272, 1999)
