摘要: In this investigation the complex unsteady flow through and around a channel in presence of an obstruction at entry is studied by solving directly Navier–Stokes equations. Depending on location obstruction, either reverses its direction, stagnates or continues same direction as that outside but with reduced magnitude. The Reynolds number 4000 considered, experimental results are available for comparison. computed close agreement experiments. computations help better understanding phenomenon reverse fluid pumping.
