摘要: The neocortex of the adult brain consists neurons and glia that are generated by precursor cells embryonic ventricular zone. In general, after during development, but radial an exception to this rule. Radial before neurogenesis guide neuronal migration. mitotically active throughout neurogenesis, disappear or become astrocytes when migration is complete. Although lineage relationships cortical have been explored, clonal relationship other remains unknown. It has suggested may be precursors, not demonstrated in vivo. We used a retroviral vector encoding enhanced green fluorescent protein label vivo examined clones 1-3 days later using morphological, immunohistochemical electrophysiological techniques. Here we show consist mitotic postmitotic neurons, migrate along clonally related glia. Time-lapse images proliferative generate neurons. Our results support concept between underlie organization neocortex.
