摘要: The process of natural gas extraction known as hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is a controversial energy acquisition technique often viewed with disdain by the public, due to its potential for environmental harm. However, mental health and psychological well-being fracking communities, including benefits detriments, are overlooked. We reviewed literature on association between functioning, finding that although persons living in communities may experience some minimal, initial such land lease income infrastructure development, they also worry, anxiety, depression about lifestyle, health, safety, financial security, well exposure neurotoxins changes physical landscape. Indeed, entire can collective trauma result “boom/bust” cycle occurs when industries impinge community life.
