摘要: Purpose: Comparison of radiation exposure between a digital amorphous silicon and screen-film based mammography system. Evaluation possible potential full-field in order to decrease the dose. Methods: The average glandular dose for phantom thicknesses from 30 60 mm was calculated experimentally determined entrance surface air kerma conventional effect reducing detector changing quality on image were investigated. Results: By using delivered settings automatic control (AEC) devices, both mammographic systems needed nearly same doses. Regulations guidelines doses complied. With system, reduction up 40% by higher decreasing slightly without loss diagnostic quality, might be possible. Conclusion: reduction, as shown present study, needs however, careful examination under clinical conditions.
