Active Cell Balancing of Li-Ion Batteries Using $LC$ Series Resonant Circuit

摘要: This paper proposes a new active cell-balancing method for Li-ion batteries. It uses an $LC$ series resonant circuit as energy carrier, which transfers the balancing directly from highest charged cell to lowest cell. The requires $N+5$ bilateral switches and one circuit, where $N$ is number of cells in string speed improved by allowing transfer between any two battery string, power consumption reduced operating all at zero-current switching condition. An experimental 12-cell shows that fast transformerless possible using proposed method. Measured efficiencies were 93.2% 78.9% powers 0.56 1.94 W, respectively.
