摘要: Pineal region lesions pose a complex therapeutic challenge in which patient-related, as well tumor-specific variables influence the optimal management paradigm. Advances surgical techniques have minimized complications while facilitating extensive resection. Surgery for maximal resection of all benign and most malignant tumors can often be quite effective or even curative select patients. Patients such those with positive CSF blood markers, disseminated disease, will benefit from different strategy. The nuances decision-making algorithm treatment pineal are discussed this chapter. Special emphasis is made results based on specific pathology, patient selection particular approaches.
