摘要: Abstract It is shown by electron transmission microscopy that a grain boundary has step-like structure. In f.c.c. metals the steps are formed {111} crystal-planes of both grains. The microscopic observations show migration occurs in following way: Under influence driving force, atoms emitted from shrinking into while growing absorb same number out boundary. Therefore, micromechanism absorption and emission leading to movement steps. Due this process, surfaces grains move perpendicular plane Frank spiral mechanism or at junction points boundaries. observed indicates stepped surface adjacent lying between these surfaces.
