摘要: Abstract Background In routine semen analysis, discrepancies may occur between sperm acrosin activity test results and acrosomal morphology. Methods Discrepant of (spectrophotometric assay) vs. morphology (strict criteria) in the initial diagnostic investigation 107 infertile couples were evaluated with respect to fertilization rate (% oocytes 2 pronuclei) further obtained IVF treatment. Results Acrosin positively correlated normal forms) (r=0.537) (r=0.526). ROC curves for prediction ≥50% comparable morphology, optimal cutoff values at 25 μIU/106 10%, respectively. multiple regression (P=0.002) predicted independently (P Conclusion The assay can help predict fertilizing capacity
