摘要: Canine angiostrongylosis is an emergent cardio-pulmonary gastropod-borne helminthic infection caused by the metastrongyloid nematode Angiostrongylus vasorum. Clinically, it characterized a wide spectrum of non-specific signs and red fox serves as most important reservoir for dog infections. In Italy, this disease has been well documented both in northwestern central-southern regions, whereas apparently poorly recognized northeastern area country. This report describes diagnostic findings two autochthonous cases fatal canine one case wild detected Italy. Reporting relevant to clinicians order increase their awareness prompt diagnosis potentially life-threatening that may go unnoticed or misdiagnosed.
