摘要: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common cause of recurrent abdominal pain (RAP) in children and can be debilitating experience for both child family. Organic causes RAP symptoms such as celiac inflammatory diseases should excluded before diagnosis IBS made. Treatment consists dietary manipulation, drugs, stress management. Newer therapies may offer better control with minimal side-effects. This article discusses the challenges faced by pediatricians managing reviews management context from Indian subcontinent.
