摘要: SUMMARY To better understand the origin of short-term features palaeomagnetic signals recorded by Chinese loess, detailed and magnetic fabric studies were conducted on a loess profile at Datong, northeastern margin plateau, which is characterized both high sedimentation rate (∼18 cm ka−1) variations sedimentary environments. It appears that fabrics, specifically inclination maximum susceptibility principal axis (K1-Inc), are robust means to identify deposition Our results (<∼74 ka) record four palaeodirectional anomalies (referred as A–D). Among them, anomaly C with relatively normal fabrics can be correlated Laschamp (∼40 excursion. In contrast, A, B D accompanying K1-Inc anomalies, interpreted caused post-depositional disturbances. The new improve our understanding origins natural remanent magnetization loess.
