摘要: When rehabilitating existing structures for seismic loading, many engineers would first think of a strengthening approach. However, the case large liquid gas tank described in this paper, it was more effective to soften structure by shifting fundamental frequency lower spectral region response spectrum design event. As part softening approach, 26 high-damping elastomeric bearings were incorporated into structural system. These rubber are horizontally soft, which results decrease from 2.3 Hz 0.5 Hz. The drastic reduction forces confirmed non-linear dynamic analyses time domain considering hysteretic behaviour bearings.
