摘要: Statement of the Problem: The long-term patient satisfaction and safety nightguard vital bleaching (NGVB) requires further evaluation. Purpose Study: purpose this study was to evaluate patients' identify side effects NGVB up 17 years post-treatment. Materials Methods: Thirty-one participants who had completed previous studies using 10% carbamide peroxide were contacted at least 10 post-treatment (range 10-17 years, average 12.3 years). Participants reported shade (very satisfied (VS), partially (PS), or not (NS)) as well potential complications. teet h#6t o 11examined for tooth vitality, gingival inflammation (Loe's Gingival Index (GI)), radiographically external cervical resorption (ECR). Results: All successful lightening their teeth. Sixty-one percent (19) retreated Of those teeth responded question whitening satisfaction, 31% (4/13) VS, 54% (7/13) PS, 15% (2/13) NS with current shade. teeth, all VS PS. Ninety-one examined GI = 0 (normal), 7% 1 (mild inflammation), 2% 2 (moderate inflammation). Sixty-nine tested a cold stimulus. Radiographs did detect ECR apical lesions. No participant having biopsy post-treatment, 87% would whiten again. Conclusions: Patient may last long in years) findings considered within normal expectations sample studied, suggesting minimal clinical post-NGVB years.
