摘要: Background: Pancreatic cysts are frequently detected incidentally, and a definitive preoperative diagnosis remains challenging. Benign cystic lesions have very high cure rate unless malignant change supervenes. Simple excision of benign the pancreas is safe effective. Case presentation: We present 31-year-old woman with 3-year history an enlarging symptomatic pancreatic mucinous cystadenoma, which was misdiagnosed radiologically as serous cystadenoma or mesenteric cyst. This managed safely by resection distal pancreatectomy that avoided. Conclusions: Excision effective, surveillance for recurrence not necessary.
