摘要: We have found that native histone molecules as they occur in the nucleohistone component of pea bud chromatin contain RNA chemically linked to them. The histone-bound constitutes a new class RNA, differing from other classes base composition and chain length. That content has not been discovered heretofore is due fact histones are commonly extracted with acid, condition under which RNA-histone bond cleaved. Since inactive support DNA-dependent synthesis since one agents responsible for such repression, their association specific relevant considerations control genetic activity.
