摘要: Reliability is one of the key performance metrics in design storage area network extensions as it determines accessibility to remotely located data sites. SANs can be extended over distances spanning from hundreds thousands kilometers with optical or IP-based transport networks. The equipment used depends on protocol for extension solution. present article provides analytical models developed calculation long-term average downtimes, service failure rates, and availability that achieved a function hardware/software failures, software upgrades, link recovery times, layer 3 convergence times.
