摘要: Due to a global increase in the range and number of infections caused by multi-resistant bacteria, phage therapy is currently experiencing resurgence interest. However, there are well-known concerns over use phages treat bacterial infections. In order address safety poorly understood pharmacokinetics their associated cocktails, immunological characterization required. current investigation, immunogenicity four distinct (taken from main families that comprise Caudovirales order)and interaction with donor derived peripheral blood mononuclear cells immortalized cell lines (HT-29 Caco-2 intestinal epithelial cells) were investigated using standard techniques. When exposed high concentrations (109 PFU/well), cytokine driven inflammatory responses induced all types. Although appeared inhibit growth lines, they also appear be non-cytotoxic. Despite co-incubation different types, maintained killing efficiency, reducing extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Escherichia coli numbers 1-4 log10 compared untreated controls. provided suitable host, able actively reproduce presence human resulting an approximately 2 titer initial inoculum. Through increased understanding complex phages, it may possible some surrounding preparations prior creating new therapeutic strategies.
