摘要: Ever since Network Functions Virtualization has replaced dedicated appliances, ISPs have been able to add a degree of flexibility in their traffic engineering. Now is steered through virtual functions before reaching its destination, which, nonetheless, hardens network operation. Insofar, logically centralized approach proposed compute and install the correct forwarding behavior on every devices. However, this comes at cost increased fragility compared current Interior Gateway Protocols (IGP) whole new infrastructure. Instead, we propose augment routing layer with notion services. Our solution leverages existing distributed protocols where, addition, autonomous nodes announce information about services they provide. design modular, incrementally deployable implemented what call an NFV Router . In our evaluation, show that (i) Routers chaining decisions are close optimal centrally-computed paths, (ii) large scale testbed deployment, efficiently steer chains only small overhead control traffic, (iii) system, because local loop, faster reaction events than solutions.
