摘要: Abstract Previous reports have demonstrated that butyrate inhibits metabolism of propionate by liver cells isolated from sheep and goats. Our objectives were to examine some possible mechanisms for this inhibition test in the bovine animal. Incorporation label 2.5m M [2- 14 C]propionate into glucose (nmol propionate/mg cell DM/h) presence 0, 1.25, was 107, 66, 62 goat hepatocytes 79, 25, 29 calf hepatocytes; therefore, inhibited at least as effectively calves In 1.25m reduced uptake 46% control, incorporation 44% control.
