摘要: Management of intractable venous ulceration remains an unrewarding task which is increasingly delegated to the realm vascular surgeon. The purpose this pilot study was assess ulcer-healing effects newest form biostimulation—the low power laser. Twelve patients with chronic ulcers unresponsive conservative measures were treated infrared laser irradiation for twelve weeks. Two healed completely and there a 27% (p<0.01) reduction in size remaining ulcers. Treatment resulted 44% increase ulcer floor area occupied by healthy granulation tissue. most dramatic effect treatment pain, from 7.5 3.5 (linear analogue scale) (p<0.001). Laser had no on TcPO2, number skin capillaries or pericapillary fibrin deposition lipodermatosclerotic around ulcer. results are encouraging carefully controlled randomized indicated compare conventional management
