摘要: The Photovoltaic (PV) industry is still in its infancy and at the moment it very difficult to predict which technical, economical social patterns deployment will follow before reaching maturity. However, if photovoltaics are become a major energy source future, appropriate question materials natural elements critical secure long-term sustainability of this source. This particularly valid for semiconductor whose band gap has perform efficient conversion sunlight electricity. recent history (from 1950s) reveals an intense activity research development embracing broad range disciplines leading healthy multitude innovations. Organic versus inorganic semiconductors, intrinsic extrinsic homojunctions heterojunctions amorphous crystalline structures few dilemma that new achievements steadily bring scientific industrial community. It take years, perhaps decades, mankind able solve challenge answer questions addressed above. (These aspects also described Chapters 6 16 handbook.)
