摘要: Elucidating the genetic control of cerebral cortical (pallial) development is essential for understanding function, evolution, and disorders brain. Transcription factors (TFs) that embryonically regulate pallial regionalization are expressed in gradients, raising question how discrete domains generated. We provide evidence small enhancer elements active protodomains integrate broad transcriptional information. CreER(T2) GFP expression from 14 different stable transgenic mice allowed us to define a comprehensive regional fate map pallium. explored mechanisms activity enhancers using informatics, vivo occupancy by TFs patterning (CoupTFI, Pax6, Pbx1), analysis Pax6 mutants. Overall, results insights into broadly drive gene distinct regions.
