摘要: Abstract Steady state kinetic models, which may be useful for the prediction from simple data, of bioaccumulation liophilic pollutants in ecosystems are discussed. For some aquatic species, such as Mytilus edulis, bioconcentration factors (BCFs) closely related to water solubilities, and octanol: partition coefficients (Kows). In other cases, more complex models necessary take account metabolism and/or uptake food. Somewhat different considerations apply estimation (BFs) terrestrial organisms that cannot excrete lipophilic compounds by diffusion into ambient water. The relationship between half-lives BFs is Metabolism effective elimination animals, a model proposed data obtained vitro studies. If can successfully developed it will make possible biaccumulation wide range species studied present methods.
