Grain boundary diffusion of iron, cobalt and nickel in alpha-iron and of iron in gamma-iron

摘要: Abstract Grain boundary diffusion coefficients have been measured in the following systems: Iron α-iron D gbδ = 11·2 × 10−7 exp (—41 500/RT) cm3/sec.Cobalt 2·23 cm3/sec.Nickel 23·3 (—43 300/RT) cm3/sec.Iron γ-iron 0·77 (—38 000/RT) cm3/sec. Standard radiotracer techniques were used. The results derived using Fisher's solution for grain problem. significance of constants, gb and Q gb, is discussed.
