摘要: Problems the Abraxas Foundation encountered in accommodating therapeutic community practices to justice system order develop an alternative for courtstipulated drug offenders are reviewed. First, traditional expectations prospective clients' motivation proved be unrealistic. Second, courts' needs information on their progress appeared conflict with client confidentiality laws. Finally, resented what it initially took intrusion into program affairs. In response, has sensitized its staff role, established a uniform policy reports, promoted communications external agencies, and emphasized coordination of treatment effort court officials.
