摘要: Abstract Hybridization affects the evolution and conservation status of species populations. Because dynamics hybridization is driven by reproduction survival parental admixed individuals, demographic modelling a valuable tool to assess effects on population viability, e.g., under different management scenarios. While matrix models have been used long-term consequences between crops wild plants, our knowledge they not developed for animal species. Here, we present new model project in system with two or populations that interbreed. We consider males females groups as separate components, each described species-specific vectors initial abundance projection matrices. Then production hybrid fertile offspring due interaction reproductive individuals Finally, apply real-world case studies regarding terrestrial marine mammal presence hybridization. Specifically, investigate 1) genomic extinction probability interbreeding dolphin within semi-enclosed gulf Greece, hybrids’ fitness scenarios, 2) possible outcomes wolf x dog events an expanding Italy, isolation 3) sensitivity main parameters studies.
