摘要: Gene expression can be regulated in response to very different stimuli. These may external, such as the cellular growth medium, or internal, a specific need at given stage of cell cycle development. In many cases, regulation is transcriptional. The discovery that translation level gene which take place goes back observation transcription not necessary for early phases embryonic development organisms.1 following fertilization relies completely on maternal mRNAs are translationally repressed until then.2 Translational control prokaryotes was discovered first with RNA bacteriophages where sole possible regulation,3,4 later DNA phages and finally E. coli. Even if much remains understood about translational this bacterium, few genes from other eukaryotes have been studied same kind molecular detail those coliphages coli itself.
