摘要: Clay-rich sediments undergo a variety of compositional and physical changes related to the processes compaction lithification during transformation from mud shale. Well-documented aspects process include chemical mineralogical alteration as it undergoes deep burial diagenesis (e.g., Boles Franks, 1979 references therein). In addition, curves describing in properties such bulk density, porosity, acoustic velocity have been derived for various stages mud-rich Hamilton, 1978; Hamilton Bachman, 1982). Changes sediment fabric early documented using SEM TEM techniques Bowles et al., 1969; Bennett 1977; Bohlke Bennett, 1980; Bryant 1988), but there few similar studies clay-rich sediments.
