摘要: The complete amino acid sequence of SJL-I, a lectin from the sea cucumber, Stichopus japonicus, was determined by analysis peptides derived on enzymatic and chemical fragmentation protein. SJL-I consists 143 residues its molecular mass calculated to be 15,837 Da. Comparison with database revealed that exhibits apparent homology C-type lectins, especially those marine invertebrates. highest (identity 28.6%) found echinoidin, urchin, Anthocidaris crassispina. other lectins indicated conserved acids are relatively abundant in C-terminal half their carbohydrate-recognition domains (CRDs), can considered involved binding Ca2+ as well carbohydrates.
