摘要: Abstract Inter-crater depressions on Mars, which may be host to candidate lakes, have not been explored in much detail. Even if a small percentage of these were actually filled with water, it would mean that Mars was hydrologically more active than previously thought. The present study examined valley networks within the equatorial region Mars. Analysis drainage around Huygens crater revealed topographically flat basin towards north. divided into two geological units basis their morphological differences. Several features including wrinkled ridges, dike, different types polygonal desiccation patterns (PDPs) and craters layered ejecta blankets observed units. Estimation lobateness, mobility depth diameter ratio suggest climate controlled fluctuations volatiles multiple episodes resurfacing. Geological history reconstituted possible stratigraphy formulated after integrating morphology Cumulative Size Frequency Distribution (CSFD) analysis. From study, we infer an ephemeral, endorheic playa underwent several geodynamic processes is geologically rich terrain for future exploration missions.
