摘要: Meningiomas account for approximately 30% of all new diagnoses intracranial masses. The 2016 World Health Organization's (WHO) classification currently represents the clinical standard meningioma's grading and prognostic stratification. However, watchful waiting is frequently chosen treatment option, although this means absence a certain histological diagnosis. Consequently, MRI (or less CT) brain imaging unique available tool to define diagnosis, grading, planning in many cases. Nonetheless, these neuroimaging modalities show some limitations, particularly evaluation skull base lesions. emerging evidence supporting use radiolabelled somatostatin receptor analogues (such as dota-peptides) provide molecular meningiomas might at least partially overcome limitations. Moreover, their potential therapeutic usage enrich current offering patients. Starting from strengths weaknesses structural functional meningiomas, present article we systematically reviewed published studies regarding dota-peptides surgery radiotherapy planning, restaging treated patients, well peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy meningioma.
