摘要: Spermatogenesis is the process by which stem cell spermatogonia form sperm. In theory, one spermatogonium of rat can produce 4096 sperm (1). The theoretical limit never achieved in normal spermatogenesis because cells degenerate along way. Numerous genetic, environmental, and toxicological factors negatively influence yield cells. Although several papers reviews have been written on this topic (2–5), relatively recent description apoptosis has prompted author to revisit topic.
