摘要: UNLABELLED Hypothetically, any site in a radiation portal has potential for late malignant transformation. Secondary neoplasms may occur after almost index cancer been treated with and/or chemotherapy. The incidence of secondary neoplasms, histopathology, time delay, dose, cytotoxic agents, age and type initial malignancy, outcome all negatively impact survivors. We highlight the new concept multifocality, defined as greater than two noncontiguous second that develop prior port. identified 48 patients postradiation sarcomas from three prospectively collected databases. Fifteen these (31%) had evidence multifocal sarcomas. Five 10 women breast-conserving surgery carcinoma. longer interval between post-radiation sarcoma, likelihood transformation occurring.
