Sustaining secondary school nursing practice in Australia: A qualitative study

摘要: This interpretive descriptive, qualitative study explored secondary school nurses' perceptions of factors that impact on their role and views how can be best supported. Nine nurses from four Department Human Services regions in Victoria, Australia, participated semistructured, in-depth interviews. Purposive sampling was used, with participants required to have a minimum 2 years' experience as nurses. Data were thematically analyzed, revealing complex challenging role. The findings identified key necessary support quality practice. All stakeholders need shared understanding the purpose principles underpinning nurse nurse's professional obligations. Knowledge are recognize breadth depth for work effectively within scope adoption model critical companionship is recommended provide facilitated reflection practice mechanism
