摘要: A physical layer (PHY) device including a first transmitter, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) module, and control module. The transmitter is configured to transmit pulse on conductor of pair conductors cable. ADC module generate set outputs, in response the transmission pulse, by sampling an input from second plurality times at predetermined time interval. determine distance PHY (i) open-circuit, (ii) short-circuit, or (iii) termination based outputs.
