摘要: In the context of a myriad mobile apps which collect personally identifiable information (PII) and prospective market place personal data, we investigate user-centric monetary valuation PII. During 6-week long user study in living lab deployment with 60 participants, collected their daily valuations 4 categories PII (communication, e.g. phonecalls made/received, applications, time spent on different apps, location media, photos taken) at three levels complexity (individual data points, aggregated statistics processed, i.e. meaningful interpretations data). order to obtain honest valuations, employ reverse second price auction mechanism. Our findings show that most sensitive valued category is location. We report statistically significant associations between actual usage, dispositions, bidding behavior. Finally, outline key implications for design services future markets data.
