摘要: Approximately 40% of individuals in the United States live areas underserved by dermatologists. The lack specialized skin care is particularly pronounced among patients without insurance coverage, as almost half all dermatologists do not see uninsured patients. We report our experience with Venice Family Dermatology Clinic, a volunteer-driven dermatology clinic Los Angeles, California. Several unique features include: operating within larger primary free clinic that provides referrals and space, having access to an in-house pharmacy, collaborating academic center pathological examination tissue samples. We hope noteworthy this clinic may serve guide to improve quality teaching offered at other free dermatology clinics.
