摘要: Accurate chromosome segregation is mediated by the mitotic spindle, a bipolar structure composed primarily of microtubules. Spindle assembly and microtubule dynamics are influenced many cellular factors. In this chapter, we discuss prominent models spindle focus on recently appreciated role noncentromeric chromatin in promoting polymerization formation. addition to presenting evidence for ability direct assembly, chapter describes identification characterization molecular components involved process.
