摘要: The nucleotide sequence of a 3.5-kb BamHI fragment from Listeria monocytogenes 12067, human clinical isolate serotype 4b, has been determined. DNA harbors the gene for listeriolysin, part phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C, and metalloprotease. Comparison with corresponding sequences two other L. isolates revealed significant number differences. Several differences give rise to amino acid substitutions. most variable region was examined mpl gene, whereas lisA showed relatively high degree conservation, particularly at level. To analyze pattern variability in 160-bp covering nine sequenced 36 different origins. This work that strains can be grouped into major types according sequences. Oligonucleotide probing larger observed used subdivide species. data suggest correspondence between type flagellar antigens. Assays based on hybridization or polymerase chain reaction type-specific oligonucleotides may provide fast easy alternative methods strain typing. Images
