摘要: Fever is a common sign of clinical disease but its biological purpose unclear. Several cytokines mediate fever as well the regulation immune responses, and it was previously shown that murine thymocyte proliferative responses to IL-1 IL-2 are exquisitely temperature-sensitive. The present studies were performed determine whether such high degree temperature sensitivity also property primary in vitro mature, splenic T cells. Using physiological range temperatures spanning those normal skin (29 degrees C) febrile core tissues (39 C), spleen cell either Con A, solid-phase anti-CD3 antibody, specific Ag, or allogenic cells all found display sensitivity. A similar pattern strong for capacity MLR cultures generate allospecific effector CTL. All these forms T-cell expressed both terms absolute response kinetics, warmer up 35 C 37 giving larger sooner than lower 29 33 C, at which markedly inhibited relative C. In contrast, cytolytic activity formed population CTL remarkably insensitive same changes strongly regulate generation usually define appropriate animal, yet this (37 C-39 had little stimulatory effect upon studied, were, some cases, actually inhibitory. Temperature peripheral tissue an animal becoming C-37 appear be ones mature responses. These results suggest one local inflammation may temporarily ablate cooler portions thermal gradients, thereby selectively amplifying emergence immunity tissues.
